4 It is the largest unfinished Roman Catholic church and the last works designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí.
5 In 1882, construction of Sagrada Família started under architect Francisco Paula de Villar, who resigned in 1883.
6 Gaudí took over as chief architect and then devoted the remainder of his life to the project. At the time of his death at age 73 in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete.
7 It is anticipated that the building could be completed by 2026 - the centenary of Gaudí's death.
8 I have to say, it's one hell of an impressive building, that amazingly is also relying solely on private donations and visitor ticket purchases for completion.
